Darby Woods
Darby Woods was born and raised in Brentwood and Santa Monica, California. As a local expert of the Westside, Darby has great knowledge of the neighborhoods, schools and organizations within the various communities that help sell properties for Sellers and educate Buyers to the lifestyle that comes with buying a home on the Westside.
After graduating from Marymount High School in Los Angeles, Darby attended Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and graduated with a BSBA in Marketing and International Business from the McDonough School of Business while playing Division 1 Volleyball and Soccer. Upon graduation, Darby moved to New York City to work in Sales and Marketing for a Fortune 500 company. After several years, Darby traded in her heels and corporate life to move to Ecuador as a volunteer English teacher for World Teach. Upon returning to the U.S., Darby utilized her Spanish language skills as an analyst for an International Financial service internet portal while waiting for acceptance to the Graduate School of Business at Fordham University in New York City where she received an MBA in Finance and Communications Media Management from the Global Professional MBA program. After time on Wall Street and Crisis Communications Management in New York City, Darby returned home to Los Angeles.
As the daughter of Mary Beth Woods, Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Estate Director, and one of the top agents on the Westside for over 45 years, Darby has watched and learned how to navigate the real estate market for both buyers and sellers from the best of the best.
Darby’s background in marketing, finance, and crisis management coupled with her work ethic, negotiation skills, and out of the box thinking creates the perfect tool kit for a Real Estate Broker working in the fast-paced, high-end Real Estate market in Los Angeles.
Darby is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the Coldwell Banker Brentwood office and attends continuing education courses regularly at the Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Real Estate Association covering topics such as “The Importance of Disclosures in a Real Estate Transaction” and “Investment Property Sales.” In addition, Darby was awarded a designation as a Green Specialist from Coldwell Banker and became a Certified Short Sale and Properties in Foreclosure Specialist.
Darby resides in Pacific Palisades with her son and is currently on the Board of Directors for both The Louis League at Corpus Christi church in Pacific Palisades and The Juniors of Social Service which is the oldest Catholic charity located close to Downtown Los Angeles.
