
Darby Woods Gardner was
born and raised in Brentwood and Santa Monica, California. As the local expert
of the Westside, Darby has great knowledge of the neighborhoods, schools and
organizations within the various communities that help sell properties for
Sellers as well as educate Buyers to the lifestyle that comes with buying a
house on the Westside.
After graduating from Marymount High School, Darby attended Georgetown
University in Washington D.C. and graduated with a BSBA in Marketing and
International Business from the McDonough School of Business. Upon graduation,
Darby moved to New York City to work in Sales and Marking for a Fortune 500
company. After several years, Darby traded in her heels and corporate life to
move to Ecuador as a volunteer English teacher for World Teach. Upon returning
to the U.S., Darby utilized her new found Spanish language skills as an analyst
for an international financial service internet portal while waiting for
acceptance to the Graduate school of Business at Fordham University in New York
City where she received an MBA in Finance and Communications Media Management
from the Global Professional MBA program. After time on Wall Street and Crisis
Communications Management in New York City, Darby returned home to Los Angeles.
As the daughter of Mary Beth Woods, Coldwell Banker International Previews
Estates Director, and one of the top agents on the Westside for 36 years, Darby
has watched and learned how to navigate the real estate market for both buyers
and sellers from the best of the best.
Darby’s background in marketing and finance coupled with her worth-ethic and out
of the box thinking creates the perfect tool kit for a Real Estate Broker
working in the fast-paced, high-end Real Estate market in Los Angeles.
Darby currently is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the Brentwood West office
and attends continuing education courses regularly at the Beverly Hills Greater
Los Angeles Real Estate Association covering topics such as “The importance of
Disclosures in a Real Estate transaction” and “Investment Property Sales”.
Darby currently resides in Pacific Palisades with her son and is active as a CCD
teacher at Corpus Christi church and volunteers for Regis House, a community
center in Downtown Los Angeles, utilizing her Spanish language skills with the
inner city kids after school program. Darby is also an active member of the
Juniors of Social Service, the oldest Catholic Charity in Los Angeles. |
